Days of our Lives Spoilers Weekly Update: Sydney’s Return Sparks Concern

The weekly Days of our Lives spoilers update for September 21-25 brings Sydney back into the orbit of even more members of her family, but her return quickly gives some of them reason to be cautious. More turmoil is brewing for the DiMeras as EJ and Johnny clash over the growing Coriseal controversy, a situation that could create serious consequences for Sarah. Meanwhile, the Kiriakis family suffers another round of complications that threaten to overshadow Philip’s success in Monte Carlo, while Cat once again finds herself under intense scrutiny.

Monday, September 14, 2026 – Episode #15465

Marlena (Deidre Hall) was struggling with loneliness while staying at her condo. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) arrived to keep her company, bringing along doughnuts and several books. During their conversation, Marlena admitted that she was deeply concerned about the trail of clues Belle (Martha Madison) and Chad (Conner Floyd) were pursuing in Italy, particularly because EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) had also become involved.

Julie soon discovered that Marlena had been experiencing disturbing memories connected to the time she spent on Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) island. Marlena became emotional as she reflected on all the years and moments Stefano had stolen from her life. Meanwhile, in Italy, EJ unexpectedly appeared while Chad and Belle were searching Dominic Marino’s home. EJ claimed he had come to question Dominic about the Kiriakis estate, while Belle and Chad explained that the evidence they had uncovered had brought them to the same location.

Inside the house, they noticed a chessboard that strongly resembled one Stefano had owned, although this one still contained all of its pawn pieces. EJ also recognized several of Stefano’s old favorites around the room, including his preferred cognac, music, and cigars — items that were no longer even being produced. Chad then discovered a concealed compartment inside the chess set containing a photograph of Stefano holding a young boy in 1992. Elsewhere, the mysterious man wearing Stefano’s ring observed events from a distance and remarked that everything was unfolding exactly as planned. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) also met Dante (Franco Lo Presti) before the poker game began. Dante made it clear that his loyalty belonged to Sami (Alison Sweeney).

Sydney (Sydney Malakeh) soon arrived as well. Gabi questioned Dante about Ava (Tamara Braun), but he maintained that the two of them hardly knew each other. When Gabi described Ava as crazy, Dante quickly defended her and reminded Gabi that Ava was still part of his family. The poker game eventually got underway. During play, Gabi realized that another participant, Otto (Tristyn Rowlan), was cheating and immediately called attention to it. Otto was removed from the game, allowing Philip to emerge victorious. Unfortunately, the amount he won still wasn’t enough to rescue Titan. Afterward, Dante informed Dominic that their plan involving the poker game and Philip had unfolded perfectly.

Tuesday, September 15, 2026 – Episode #15466

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) continued spending their evening together by the lake. Tate showed Holly several self-defense techniques, but the lesson quickly turned romantic and the two ended up becoming intimate. Even so, Holly remained unsettled by the mysterious message she had received asking whether she “was having fun.” Elsewhere, Xander (Paul Telfer) told Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) about his recent meeting with Johnny (Carson Boatman).

Brady and Sarah then brought Xander up to speed on the security footage involving Johnny that Brady and Steve (Stephen Nichols) had discovered. Xander immediately labeled Johnny as the weakest point in the operation, although Sarah disagreed because of Johnny’s powerful family connections. Sarah then revealed that, in her capacity as a doctor, she had anonymously filed a complaint against DiMera Pharmaceuticals. Xander was furious that Brady had allowed Sarah to take such a dangerous step. Sarah apologized for moving forward without first telling Xander. Brady then questioned whether Xander still intended to remain involved with them.

Xander ultimately declared that Sarah and Brady clearly needed someone to keep them from acting recklessly, so he would continue working with them. Meanwhile, George (Michael Rose) pushed Johnny to start thinking more like EJ if he wanted to deal with Sarah’s complaint successfully. Johnny questioned whether George and EJ had truly covered all of their tracks. George’s response did little to reassure him. Johnny became increasingly concerned that all three of them could eventually end up behind bars.

George advised Johnny to deny every allegation or redirect attention whenever accusations surfaced. In Monte Carlo, Philip found himself unable to fully enjoy his poker victory because the money still wasn’t enough to preserve his family’s legacy. Refusing to give up, Philip decided to try roulette. Despite Gabi’s objections, he placed everything he had won on number 18 in honor of Victor’s (John Aniston) birthday. The gamble paid off when the ball landed on 18, giving Philip another major victory. Philip and Gabi later celebrated in their hotel room by tossing themselves into piles of money. During the celebration, they once again confirmed how much they loved each other.

Wednesday, September 16, 2026 – Episode #15467

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) looked after Kelsey (Lena and Mira Chase), giving Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) an opportunity to speak privately with Stephanie (Abigail Klein) about Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), who had been left at least temporarily paralyzed.

Stephanie reacted angrily to Alex’s explanation, telling him that she felt like the lowest priority among all of his responsibilities before walking away. She eventually found Kayla, who had arranged for Xander and Sarah to watch Kelsey so she could speak with her daughter. Stephanie wondered whether Joy could be pretending to be paralyzed, but Kayla explained that Joy’s medical condition was not something that could realistically be faked.

At the pub, Brady, Xander, and Sarah compared everything they had learned so far about Dominic. When Brady spotted Steve (Stephen Nichols), he stepped away to update him on the latest developments involving Dominic. Sarah and Xander were relieved that Xander and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) had not yet finalized the paperwork to sell the Kiriakis mansion. Xander began wondering what move they should make next. After reviewing the situation together, Steve and Brady concluded that Dominic appeared to want people in Salem to become familiar with his name despite his reputation for keeping his personal life extremely private. Meanwhile, Chanel (Raven Bowens) was dealing with nausea, so Lani (Sal Stowers) offered her some marijuana brownies. As they talked, Lani admitted that she missed her old life as a police officer.

Chanel eventually went for a walk and encountered Alex in Horton Town Square. Alex’s mood improved considerably thanks to an extremely high Chanel, who cheerfully sang “Itsy Bitsy Spider” to him. Stephanie happened to see the two of them enjoying themselves together and decided to head to Small Bar instead. Elsewhere, Johnny reluctantly told Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) about the Coriseal complaint. Theo was furious after hearing what had happened. Johnny insisted that he had genuinely tried to handle everything as responsibly as possible. They agreed to continue discussing the crisis the following morning. After being left alone, Theo began writing his resignation letter before eventually going to Small Bar. There, Theo and Stephanie once again found themselves drinking together as they tried to forget their problems.

Thursday, September 17, 2026 – Episode #15468

Belle and Chad discussed Dominic while packing their belongings in preparation for returning to Salem. They revealed that Dominic’s residence had now been secured so heavily that it resembled a fortress. Chad became irritated when Belle suggested that he contact Cat and ask whether she had any useful intelligence regarding Dominic. Belle then revealed that Paul (Christopher Sean) had verified Cat’s story about once working for the ISA as an analyst, although she was no longer employed there.

EJ remained deliberately mysterious while speaking with Cat over the phone. His attention quickly shifted when Sydney unexpectedly surprised her father at his hotel in Italy. Their conversation soon turned toward Sami. EJ pointed out that Dante still had not managed to convince Sami to marry him. Sydney responded that Sami’s hesitation toward marriage was largely the result of her history with EJ. Belle and Chad were thrilled when they reunited with Sydney. EJ eventually persuaded Sydney to travel back to Salem with them for a visit.

Back in Salem, Theo nearly kissed Stephanie at Small Bar, but Paulina (Jackée Harry) interrupted them before anything happened. Theo soon left. Paulina then asked Stephanie for advice about approaching the governor, who still owed Paulina a favor, in hopes of getting Lani reinstated with the Salem Police Department. Stephanie advised Paulina to make the request carefully and diplomatically. Lani later encountered Theo in Horton Town Square. Theo told her that he believed DiMera Pharmaceuticals had been involved in illegal activity and that Johnny had known about it, which was why Theo had decided to resign. Lani pressed him for additional information. Theo shared the limited details he had and insisted that Johnny had been dishonest with him. Lani also discovered that Theo had nearly kissed a married woman. Leo (Greg Rikaart) approached Lani about appearing on his new podcast, but she rejected the invitation. Later, Leo told Cat that the FDA had begun investigating DiMera Pharmaceuticals and questioned whether the ISA might also be looking into the company. Cat finally admitted that she had once worked as an ISA analyst but no longer did. Leo remained skeptical of her explanation.

Friday, September 18, 2026 – Episode #15469

Mason (Brandon Butler) opened up to Marlena about a troubling phone call at the center that had reminded him of someone he once knew while serving in Afghanistan, Joaquin Rivera. Ari (Vico Escorcia) and Holly soon arrived. Mason gave up his table so they could sit there. Holly continued insisting that Mason was responsible for sending her the mysterious text, but Ari came to his defense.

Ari then told Holly that Mason had claimed Holly was responsible for the death of someone he knew. The revelation frightened Holly. Ari began wondering whether the person Mason meant could have been Sophia. Sydney later arrived at the Brady pub, where she happily reunited with Ari and met Holly for the first time. She also reconnected with Roman (Josh Taylor) and admitted that she still missed John (Drake Hogestyn). Roman told Sydney that Marlena especially needed to have the people she loved close to her right now. Sydney quickly noticed the obvious tension among Mason, Holly, and Ari. Later, when she crossed paths with Mason in Horton Town Square, she attempted to speak with him, but Mason ignored her while staring at a pair of military dog tags. Meanwhile, Chad confronted Cat directly about her past with the ISA.

Cat defended her decision to keep the truth from Chad, explaining that her fear of Clyde (James Read) had influenced her choices. Chad angrily accused Cat of lying not only to him but also to his children. He bitterly remarked that Cat and EJ were perfectly suited for each other. Belle, meanwhile, told Marlena everything she and Chad had discovered about Dominic during their trip to Italy. During the conversation, Marlena suddenly remembered that the surname Marino means “of the sea,” just as DiMera does. Elsewhere, EJ questioned Rita about Dominic and showed her the old photograph of Stefano with the young boy. Rita denied knowing anything about Dominic, but EJ clearly did not believe her. Rita also revealed that she had been unable to contact Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton). EJ began suspecting that Rolf could be responsible for feeding clues to Belle and Chad. Rita then informed EJ about the Coriseal complaint. EJ completely lost his temper and stormed out of the room. Once he was gone, Rita looked toward Stefano’s portrait and quietly said, “Everything is unfolding just as you intended, sir. Mr. DiMera, I hope I have made you proud.”

Monday, September 21, 2026 – Episode #15470

Brady joins forces with Xander as they continue dealing with the growing mystery. Sarah suddenly finds herself facing legal complications she never expected. Philip discovers that his impressive victory may come with an unpleasant twist. Alex intervenes while Joy attempts to avoid undergoing additional medical examinations. Meanwhile, Gabi gets more than she bargained for when Theo confronts her with plenty to say.

Tuesday, September 22, 2026 – Episode #15471

Maggie makes no effort to hide her disappointment and frustration with Philip and Xander. Steve and Brady move forward with a new step in their investigation. Mason finds himself on the receiving end of Holly’s anger. At the same time, Kayla stays firmly by Sarah’s side as Sarah’s problems continue growing more serious.

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 – Episode #15472

Julie offers Maggie comfort and support during another difficult moment. Johnny becomes involved in a heated confrontation with his father. Sydney begins behaving in a way that immediately raises concerns for both Marlena and Belle. Elsewhere, Theo decides he needs help and turns to his father for guidance.

Thursday, September 24, 2026 – Episode #15473

New doubts emerge about where Cat’s true loyalty lies. Chad learns more about the situation that has Belle so deeply concerned. Javi and Leo explore what their new friendship might look like. Johnny reunites with Sydney, but she wastes little time giving him advice he never asked for. Paulina, meanwhile, chooses to take matters into her own hands as she tries to help both Lani and Chanel.

Friday, September 25, 2026 – Episode #15474

The situation between Philip and Gabi becomes even more intense as new developments push them closer together. Kate receives a surprisingly warm reception from Chad as she officially begins working at The Spectator. Marlena is shaken once again after another disturbing dream leaves her feeling uneasy. Hope and Bo deliver upsetting news to Steve. Meanwhile, Kayla and Sarah compare what they know and come to the troubling realization that something about the entire situation simply does not make sense.
