Pregnant ruthie Ann Miles was injured in car crash, while her 4-year-old daughter along with her friend’s toddler son were killed

The 34-year-old actress, who won Tony Award for portraying Lady Thiang in The King Of I, was injured in a car accident that killed her daughter.

Actor Luke Wilson Was Called A Hero After He Saved A Woman From A Fatal Car Crash

Ruthie was crossing the street in Brooklyn, New York with her friend and children when they were hit by a car, which drove through the red light.

Both children were killed in the crash.

Pregnant Rutile and her friend are both got injured and now are in the hospital. The actress is in a stable condition. According to her agent Dustin Flores, Ruthie’s unborn child is ‘doing well’. Lauren Lew was injured, but she is also in stable condition now.

The terrible crash happened on Monday around 12:40 p.m.

Lt. John Grimpel of the NYPD confirmed to PEOPLE that the driver was a 44-year-old Dorothy Bruns who “failed to maintain control of the vehicle and struck the pedestrians.”

The NYPD source revealed that the woman allegedly continued driving down the street until she crashed into some parked cars. The 1-year-old Joshua’s stroller was dragged halfway down the street with the child in it.

According to the New York Daily News, Bruns was suffering from various health problems, including multiple sclerosis. It is believed that she had a seizure while she was driving a car.

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez commented:

It’s a real tragedy, but we have to make sure that this woman should have been driving in the first place.

The 44-year-old woman has been ticked for driving through red light four times already. She was also noticed speeding through a school zone.

Ruthie’s colleagues and friends, including Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, have shared their words of support on social media:

A GoFundMe page was set up for Ruthie and Laurie’s families in order to raise money, which now raised $325,040 for Broadway actress and $158,989 for her friend.

This creepy clown motel has now officially been named America’s scariest motel

Everybody alive has something that they are afraid of, whether they admit it or not. For some, it’s the fear of the dark, for others, it is the fear of creepy crawly critters like spiders or snakes.

However, some people have an even more inexplicable fear, like the fear of clowns. For many people, there is nothing as truly terrifying as a clown, which is why to them this hotel is the stuff of nightmares.

If you absolutely love clowns, then the Clown Motel in Tonopah, Nevada is the place for you! If you’re like… everyone else on the planet, then you might want to give this totally terrifying motel a pass the next time you’re driving t0 Vegas.

The sign just out front promises “clean rooms,” which seems like a basic requirement of a motel. That said, when your hotel is clearly haunted by the ghosts of roughly eight hundred dead clowns, it is important to remind potential customers of your other amenities.

The rooms are cheap. That is probably because the Clown Motel knows that if it wants to continue being a hotel and not simply nightmare fodder, it’s going to have to offer highly competitive prices.

If you ever walk inside of the Clown Motel’s office, you’ll find that every inch of the decor is clown-themed. Including a giant doll perched on a chair, rocking two other smaller clowns, and staring at you ominously as you make your initial deposit.

And just in case you were worried that the clowns stop when you leave the office – fret not, they absolutely do not. Clowns wait perched on every door frame to greet you. “Welcome to your adorable doom” they seem to say.

Thankfully, in the rooms themselves, the motel has seen fit to cut back a little on the over-the-top clown theme. That said, you can still expect to find at least one framed clown picture and the lingering fear that you are being watched.

The Clown Motel was recently voted the scariest motel in the country, and it’s easy to see why! In addition to all of the terrifying clown stuff, the motel also sits next door to a literal graveyard. Spooky, much?

So there you have it. If you can’t sleep without a view of a graveyard and clowns staring at you all the time is the only way you can sleep at night, we’ve found the hotel for you. Everybody else? Just run.

Can you imagine staying in a place like this? You can practically hear the haunted carnival music coming from a distance.

Retired teacher’s watching the news, spots familiar face that leaves her in disbelief

Everyone has a favorite school teacher or coach they fondly remember. For many kids, it might be their kindergarten teacher, since this particular grade is full of emotions. For those wee ones who never attended preschool, heading off to kindergarten can be scary, but kind and compassionate teachers help assuage those fears. Lorly Schik was one of those teachers. She launched her career in the 1940s and developed a bond with hundreds upon hundreds of students who passed through her classroom.

Lorly even remembered almost every single student she taught, including one little boy named Cory. This dark-haired student was in her next to last class before Lorly retired. While she was apprehensive about retiring in 1989, she knew it was time. She and her husband were going to travel the country, but his abrupt passing meant she was suddenly a widow. She remained in her hometown for 25 years, until nearing 90 years old. Lorly’s family decided she should leave the hometown she’d known most of her life and move closer to them in the Twin Cities. So Lorly sadly packed up her home and headed to an independent senior living complex.

One morning she turned the TV on and tuned in to KARE 11. There, she saw a blast from her past. She could not believe it! It was one of her former students – Cory! There was no denying it was the same person. Lorly felt compelled to reach out, so she penned a perfectly written letter to Cory’s parents, which led to something wonderful happening. Watch the video below and see just what happened after this dedicated retired kindergarten teacher contacted a former student’s family. It’s truly heartwarming!

NAACP demands business owner takes down billboard, owner responds accordingly

To play off the entire NLF player protest of the national anthem, a gun range owner in southern New Jersey has posted a billboard that reads, “The daily time we take a knee.” Along with the words, the billboard shows an image of a person all in black holding a rifle. Because this billboard is subtly mocking NFL players who are taking a knee to raise awareness of police brutality and racial inequality, liberals in the area are offended. Some have even started calling the gun range video “racist.”
But the gun range owner has come out to say that the sign has nothing to do with race or minorities in the United States. Wesley Aducat, the owner of the South Jersey Shooting Club, said:
Although the gun range owner attests that his advertisement does not have anything to do with race, locals are still offended.

One person named MoNeke Ragsdale snapped a picture of the billboard and turned to Twitter to “expose” Aducat’s “racist” sign.

“Please call! This billboard on Rt. 73 in Voorhees. Tell them this billboard is racist. Taking a knee is a protest to say NO to police brutality. The women of SJWPC are taking a knee to support black and brown people. Take it down! The manager is Carmen Console: 609-704-9500.”

Although Aducat wishes that every NFL player would stand during the anthem, he supports the players’ right to protest. It says it is their first amendment right to do so. But for the members of his shooting club, many of whom are veterans, Aducat sees firsthand how hurtful and disrespectful the NFL protest is.

But the local chapter of the NAACP says that Aducat fails to grasp the meaning of the kneeling.
“We’re talking about police murdering unarmed black people,” NAACP member Keith Blenson Sr. said. “(The South Jersey Shooting Club) deserves all the disrespect they’re going to get as a result of putting it up. But they probably thought they were clever. They probably thought they were strong, patriotic Americans.”

Other New Jersey residents are also offended by the sign including a member of the South Jersey Women for Progressive Change.

“We’re living in a very difficult time right now. People are trying to stand up for black and brown people to say, ‘Hey this is not right.’ That sign really is just mocking the idea of taking a knee.”

Just as the NFL protest is dividing the country, the New Jersey shooting range’s billboard is divisive. People on Facebook have charged both supportive and critical comments concerning the advertisement. And while the players have their first amendment right to take a knee, in the same way, Aducat has the first amendment right to advertise his business.

Where do you stand on this contentious issue? Both sides of the fence have good arguments concerning the protest. But do you stand on the side with the veterans? Do you believe that NFL players should get back on their feet and stand with their hands over their hearts as the anthem plays?

Social Security benefits are getting another boost in 2018

More than 66 million Social Security and Supplemental Security Income recipients will get a 2% boost in benefits next year, the largest increase since 2012.

It will result in about a $25 monthly increase for the average beneficiary.

The Social Security Administration said the 2% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) will begin with benefits payable to Social Security beneficiaries in January 2018. Increased payments to SSI beneficiaries will start on December 29, 2017.

Social Security checks to increase in 2018

The COLA is based on the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, or CPI-W, a broad measure of consumer prices, the Associated Press reports. It measures price changes for food, housing, clothing, transportation, energy, medical care, recreation and education.

Social Security checks went up 0.3% in 2017, but there was no increase for 2016. The adjustment was 3.6% in 2012.

According to the Social Security Administration, the average Social Security check for a retired worker is currently $1,377 a month. It will go up to $1,404 after the first of the year, a $27 increase.

You can get an estimate of your benefits using the calculator on the SSA’s website.

AARP has released the following statement from CEO Jo Ann Jenkins in response to the COLA for Social Security beneficiaries in 2018:

“Today’s 2 percent COLA announcement gives some relief to Social Security beneficiaries and their families who depend on their earned, modest benefits. Since 2011, beneficiaries have received little to no increase – never more than 1.7 percent. For the tens of millions of families who depend on Social Security for all or most of their retirement income, this cost of living increase may not adequately cover expenses that rise faster than inflation including prescription drug, utility and housing costs.”

Man catches women swimming naked in his pond. His response is perfect.

Ron, an elderly man in Florida, had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some orange and lime trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn’t been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence, and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, “We’re not coming out until you leave!”

Ron frowned, “I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.”

Holding the bucket up Ron said, “I’m here to feed the alligator.”

Some old men can still think fast!!

28 banned photos that were secretly smuggled out of North Korea

Photography in North Korea is restricted and heavily patrolled. More often than not, photography is not even allowed. Here are 28 banned photos that were secretly smuggled out of North Korea. They all offer a fascinating and heartbreaking look into the secluded nation.

1. North Korea is not only extremely isolated, but also very secretive, and tourists visiting the country must be accompanied by government officials at all times. Eric Lafforgue is a photographer who has visited North Korea a total of six times, and the photos he took there are extremely compelling. He made it inside the borders of North Korea and risked it all by smuggling memory cards with countless pictures out of the country. He is now banned from entering the country again. Now, because of the photos he took, people around the world are able to get a glimpse of what life in North Korea is really like. This first image is a photo of a Kim Jong-un statue in North Korea. It is considered rude and disrespectful to take pictures of any Kim statue from behind. Was Lafforgue trying to make a political statement with this photo? It’s not clear, but it is a striking photo.

2. A lineup for a bus. Whether or not this is an average day in North Korea is not clear, but there have been various reports throughout the years stating that many societal services within North Korea are not fully functioning. This photo of North Koreans waiting in line for a bus could be an example of that.

3. And if there needed to be some anecdotal proof of just how dire the situation in North Korea is, take a look at this stunning photo. It shows a broken down bus being pushed towards its destination. All may not be as it seems in North Korea, and this photo is proof of just that.

4. Power outages are extremely common in North Korea. When a power outage occurs, North Korean officials blame it on the American embargo. Without electricity, most North Koreans are left in the dark, but of course, they don’t want us to know that. Could you live without an essential service like electricity?

5. This picture was taken in Pyongyang’s subway system. It is the deepest subway in the world because of the fact that it also serves as a bomb shelter. When Eric took this picture, he was told to delete it immediately by a North Korean official who spotted him taking it. He told Eric to delete it because the tunnel was in it.

6. Eric was also told that taking pictures of the poor in North Korea is forbidden. Will his photography inspire a change in North Korea? Or, will the government just clamp down even more so on Western journalists? Eric showed courage by risking his freedom to snap telling shots like these.

7. Poverty-stricken children and families typically work on farms when they need money. It’s quite apparent from this photos that many North Korean civilians do not live a life of excess and comfort. What would you think if you traveled abroad and saw countless children working manual labor jobs like this?

8. According to Eric, ‘Grey’ market vendors are a common sight to see in North Korea. The small, shanty-like vendors sell what little they have to earn an honest living. It is extremely hard for North Koreans to make money any other way, so they are forced to sell what they can to support their families and children.

9. During the Kimjongilia festival, North Koreans must line up in the thousands to visit monuments. And in a country run by a strict dictator like Kim Jong-un, it is not clear whether these North Korean civilians want to attend this festival out of their own free will or whether the state makes it mandatory.

10. The buildings located inside of the city of Pyongyang typically look extremely extravagant and even beautiful on the outside. Upon closer inspection though, most of the buildings in the city are actually rundown and not well maintained, especially on the inside. They are dilapidated and unsafe.

11. Cars are still a foreign sight to see for peasants living in North Korea. Often, children will play in the middle of the roads when there are no cars in sight. It’s unsettling to see such an empty road, isn’t it? When children do see cars, it is usually a rare and exciting experience for them.

12. Eric was told that he was not allowed to take any pictures with the flash on at night because it would scare people. If there is one thing that is clear from Eric’s work, it’s the stark, bareness of North Korea. It really is like taking a look into another world. Here we see an example of that.

13. A North Korean soldier takes a much needed nap in a field. Moments like this must be far and few between for servicemen and women in North Korea. North Korean government officials would like to have us believe that soldiers do not rest, but this photo proves that even North Korean soldiers are just like the rest of us.

14. A North Korean woman dressed in a pink gown stands amidst a large crowd of soldiers. Considering the fact that government officials do not allow pictures of the army to be taken, this one in particular stands out, though it is unknown why this woman is standing among the crowd.

15. North Korean officials would like you to believe that the North Korean army is the strongest and most prominent in the world. Eric explains in his pictures that most of the time, soldiers complete menial tasks to help farmers or other workers. Some of these tasks involve things like lifting and transporting logs.

16. This is a common scene in non-urban areas of North Korea. When the common populace does not have access to basic and essential services like water for showering, citizens have to take matters into their own hands and do whatever it takes to get by, even if it means bathing in a body of water.

17. Much like pictures of poverty stricken areas in North Korea are forbidden, so are photographs of those suffering from malnutrition. It is a common occurrence to see malnourished, sick and injured North Koreans on the street. It is a sad but all too real sight to see in the streets of North Korea.

18. There are only two supermarkets in the city of Pyongyang, but only the wealthy are permitted to shop at these supermarkets. Items are sold in euros as well as in their local currency, the North Korean won. Can you imagine what life would be like if you weren’t permitted to shop at a supermarket?

19. The safety standards in North Korea are extremely low, as can be seen in this picture. Looking at these photos is almost like looking into a world that is just barely holding on. Government officials don’t want the rest of the world to see the truth behind what is really going on in North Korea.

20. When attending the delphinium in Pyongyang, photographs of the soldiers in the crowd are not permitted. Soldiers typically make up 99 per cent of the spectators. As you can see in this photo, a majority of the spectators are soldiers, while only a few of the people in this audience are not.

21. Eric was told that he must delete this picture because North Korean officials were sure he would say that the mother and child in this picture were homeless. It’s hard to say for sure if this mother and child are homeless. It makes you wonder what the living conditions are like for poor North Koreans.

22. A broom rests on the stature of Kim Il-sung. This is heavily forbidden, as it is seen as a sign of disrespect. Kim Il-sung was the first leader of North Korea, founding the country in 1948 and running it until his death in 1994. He is considered the “eternal leader” in the North Korean constitution.

23. North Korean government officials become furious and upset when this type of picture is taken. In the past, people have been known to say that the poor residing in North Korea eat grass. A survey conducted in 2013 found that the average life expectancy in North Korea is 69.8 years old.

24. North Korean officials are known to often encourage photographers to take pictures of North Koreans while they are using computers. What you may not know is that there is no electricity to run these computers. Internet access is limited for the general population.

25. Families who live in rural homes are handpicked by the government, but most still live in poverty. This bathroom was used as a cistern to store water. This photo is a stunning example of what life is really like for the poor in North Korea. Can you imagine living in these types of conditions?

26. Public transportation is nearly non-existent in North Korea. Soldiers are often found hitchhiking on highways, while permits are required for citizens to travel to and from different areas. Rail transport is the most common type of transportation in North Korea, as the country has some 5,200 km of railway.

27. Pictured in this photo is a car belonging to one of Pyongyang’s more wealthy citizens. In North Korea, it is actually considered taboo for wealthy citizens to show off their expensive possessions like cars and jewelry. This particular wealthy citizen was having a barbecue with other elite North Koreans.

28. Photographers are forbidden from taking pictures of soldiers who are relaxing and/or taking a break from their duties. Clearly, the North Korean government want their soldiers to look focused and ready for war at a moment’s notice.

A boy disappeared without a trace: 20 years later, film recordings revealed the horrible truth

Warning: The following article contains themes and images that some readers may find disturbing.

Some aspects of human nature remain unexplainable. There are people who truly find pleasure in seeing others suffer and torturing their victims. Russian Anatoly Slivko was one of these monsters.

On the surface, Anatoly was a loving husband and the father of two children. Yet deep down, he had never really been interested in his family. In 1961, Anatoly witnessed a horrific traffic accident in which a uniformed schoolboy was hit by a vehicle. Deeply affected by what he saw, Anatoly couldn’t get the image of the boy’s lifeless, bloodied body out of his mind. Bizarrely, this scene even left him feeling sexually aroused like never before.

Regarded as a respected member of the community, Anatoly was the leader of a club for boys called «Chergid.» Every boy in the town dreamed of joining the club. Parents never felt uneasy about letting their children hike, camp and take trips with Anatoly, such was his standing in the town. Many of the children had the time of their lives at the camp — no one thought for a second that Anatoly would do anything to harm them.

In reality, Anatoly was anything but a respectable father figure. Every year, the camp leader singled out one or two boys and attempted to gain their trust. He told them about a war film that he wanted to film in the woods, convincing them to join him. To satisfy his urges, Anatoly even had the «prisoners» bound and tortured in some of the scenes. As they had such a close relationship with Anatoly, the boys kept everything that had happened to themselves.

In addition to the film recordings, Anatoly performed experiments on the children that he said would help them relax. This involved hanging the boys until they fell unconscious. Though Anatoly promised to revive them straight afterwards, not all of the 43 boys who underwent this ordeal survived.

Seven of the children under his care died during these experiments. It wasn’t until one of the boys finally told his parents about the experiments and the films that the police got onto Anatoly’s trail — over 20 years after his first killing. While searching the clubhouse, officials found various film recordings, the shoes of one of his victims, and numerous other souvenirs that helped Anatoly remember his victims.

The disgraced camp leader was sentenced to death for murdering seven children, sexually molesting seven other boys, and necrophilia; he was executed in September 1989. Yet even during his hearing, many children came forward to say that they had enjoyed their days at the camp with him. With their parents always too busy for them, the children had experienced many adventures with Anatoly. In their eyes, he always had time for them and did everything they wanted to do.

At the end of the day, Anatoly was only interested in fulfilling his sexual desires. By betraying the community’s trust in the most horrific way, he became one of the Soviet Union’s most notorious murderers. A true monster.

I don’t know whether you’ve read this some time recently, however in the event that you have not it should give you a laugh. Furthermore, on the off chance that you have, I’m certain you will giggle again or share and make a friend giggle

Dear wife,

I’m writing you this letter to tell you that I’m leaving you forever. I’ve been a good man to you for 7 years & I have nothing to show for it. These last 2 weeks have been hell.

Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today & that was the last straw.

Last week, you came home & didn’t even notice I had a new haircut, had cooked your favorite meal & even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers. You ate in 2 minutes, & went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps.

You don’t tell me you love me anymore; you don’t want sex or anything that connects us as husband & wife. Either you’re cheating on me or you don’t love me anymore; whatever! the case, I’m gone.

Your EX-Husband

P.S. don’t try to find me. Your SISTER & I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!

Dear Ex-Husband,

Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It’s true you & I have been married for 7 years, although a good man is a far cry from what you’ve been.

I watch my soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining & griping. Too bad that doesn’t work.

I DID notice when you got a hair cut last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was ‘You look just like a girl!’ Since my mother raised me not to say anything if you can’t say something nice, I didn’t comment.

And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork 7 years ago.

About those new silk boxers: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, & ; I prayed it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed $50 from me that morning.

After all of this, I still loved you & felt we could work it out. So when I hit the lotto for 10 million dollars, I quit my job & bought us 2 tickets to Jamaica But when I got home you were gone.

Everything happens for a reason, I guess. I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won’t get a dime from me. So take care.

Signed, Your Ex-Wife, Rich As Hell & Free!
