Kristen Has Gone Too Far to Ever Turn Back on Days of our Lives. Kristen has finally stepped over a boundary that even Salem may not be willing to excuse. Her newest scheme leaves devastating consequences behind—and once the truth comes out, everything around her could change forever. Could this be the moment that marks the beginning of her downfall?

Days of our Lives viewers have seen Kristen pull plenty of cruel stunts, twisted schemes, and selfish moves whenever she wants to get her way. But what she did to Johnny and Rachel pushed her beyond a point that may be impossible to recover from.

The DiMera Villain May Have Reached a Dead End

It never takes much to send Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) spiraling into revenge mode, especially when she believes someone has hurt her daughter, Rachel (Lorelei Olivia Mote). That is exactly what triggered Kristen’s latest dangerous rampage, dragging Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Sophia (Rachel Boyd) straight into the line of fire.

Fans often enjoy watching Kristen completely lose control because it gives Haiduk the chance to deliver intense, unforgettable performances. This time, however, Kristen went much too far. There was no real reason for her to target Johnny just to get revenge on EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) for the role he played in Rachel shooting him.

Johnny had done nothing to Kristen or Rachel. He became nothing more than collateral damage in her vendetta. The DiMera family has always been chaotic and morally complicated, but this was worse than Kristen’s usual villainous behavior.

Making Kristen’s latest plot even darker was the way she turned on Sophia. Everyone knew Kristen was only using Sophia as part of her revenge for pulling Rachel into the plan against Holly (Ashley Puzemis).

Kristen held Sophia responsible for Rachel being sent back to Bayview. Persuading Sophia to write a suicide note was already cruel enough, but Kristen did not stop there. In classic Kristen style, she tried to tie up her loose ends by knocking Sophia unconscious and throwing her into the river.

Now the people of Salem believe Sophia took her own life after attempting to kill Johnny. Kristen will likely move forward with whatever new plan she has to hurt EJ. The issue is that secrets never stay buried in Salem, and Kristen’s time may already be running out.

Once EJ discovers that Kristen had a hand in Johnny almost dying, he will do whatever it takes to shut her down permanently. That is, unless the Salem PD uncovers what she did to Sophia and Johnny first. Of course, Salem’s police department does not exactly have the strongest record when it comes to solving crimes quickly.

The newest DAYS preview teased Sophia appearing very much alive, leaving Kristen stunned. It may end up being a dream sequence for now, but the chances that Sophia is truly dead feel extremely low.

Haiduk has previously addressed her future on DAYS now that she has returned to The Young and the Restless as Patty. Unfortunately for Kristen fans, the actress confirmed that the character has once again been put on hold, which strongly suggests Kristen will eventually have to face the consequences of what she has done sometime this year.

Sophia’s attempt to kill Johnny is creating more questions than answers, and Kristen is suddenly under serious pressure. Meanwhile, what has brought Tony and Anna back to Salem, and is Sophia really dead or somehow still alive, as the latest Days of Our Lives preview seems to suggest?

So Many Unanswered Questions

Last week, Brady, Jada, and Amy Choi found out that Sophia had disappeared, but not before leaving behind a suicide note. And that was not all—she also tried to kill Johnny. But Sophia’s situation took an even darker turn when, instead of helping her fake her death as planned, Kristen struck her in the back of the head with a rock as punishment for using Rachel the way she did. Yes, poor Sophia appeared to be dead.

Next week, Jada brings Amy Choi to the Salem PD to tell her that the blood they discovered may be a match for Sophia. May be? Maybe the Salem PD should confirm that before delivering such heartbreaking news to a parent.

Elsewhere, Joy’s return to Salem with her and Alex’s daughter, Kelsey, came as a major shock to Alex and his wife, Stephanie. Coming up, Joy informs Alex that she has decided to remain in Salem this time. Stephanie may have a reason to be concerned about Joy getting closer to her husband, especially now that it is clear how much Alex wants to build a family.

Ghosts From the Past

The promo also hints that at least one person suspects Kristen has been involved in something sinister. Kristen acts offended when EJ questions whether she had anything to do with the attempt on Johnny’s life.

On top of that, Tony and Anna return just in time for the reading of Stefano’s will. And knowing Anna, she is sure to have plenty to say about it.

Finally, while Kristen is alone and reading in the DiMera living room, a blood-covered Sophia suddenly appears and terrifies her. Sophia says, “What’s the matter, Kristen? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Could Sophia truly still be alive?
