Horton Town Square becomes the heart of Salem’s Juneteenth celebration, which also marks Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe’s (James Reynolds) anniversary. Many of the preview photos highlight moments from the event, including one scene where Paulina crosses paths with Abe, Lexie (Nikki Crawford), and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews).
One especially interesting image shows Paulina in a serious exchange with Theo, holding out her hand as if warning him to stop or slow down. Eli (Lamon Archey) looks overjoyed as he reunites with Abe. Sadly, that warm mood may not last, because another photo shows Abe staring very sternly at his son-in-law while Lexie stands beside him.
A few other photos tease an uncomfortable encounter involving Paulina, Lexie, Abe, Lani (Sal Stowers), and Eli. Another preview image shows a gloomy Eli and Lani standing behind a visibly upset Paulina, who appears to be staring off into the distance.
For a brief moment, conflicts seem to be pushed aside as Abe, Eli, Lani, and Lexie stand together and listen to someone speak. Most likely, they are hearing Paulina deliver a Juneteenth speech.
Lani and Eli also share some private time, though Lani does not appear especially happy. Eli, as always, seems to be there for her with support.
Abe and Lexie get a quiet moment together as they smile and walk arm in arm through the square. However, another image shows Lexie with her arms crossed while speaking to Abe, suggesting that something has upset her. Since Juneteenth is also Abe and Paulina’s anniversary, it is very possible the day touches a painful nerve for Lexie.
Meanwhile, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) stops by Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel’s (Raven Bownes) place for a visit, most likely to check on Chanel after her treatment. EJ arrives with flowers and a smile, but that cheerful expression does not seem to stay for long.
Johnny and EJ have a serious conversation in one of the preview photos. In another image, EJ comforts his son with a hug, creating a surprisingly sweet moment. Later, Johnny is seen alone, looking into Trey’s crib.
Other photos show Lani visiting the DiMera Mansion to reconnect with her friend Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). The two women share an emotional moment, with Lani appearing to comfort Kristen by holding her hands.
At some point, EJ becomes part of their visit. One photo shows all three of them together, while another features EJ speaking with Lani alone. A separate image shows EJ and Kristen clashing once again, and from the looks they exchange, the tension between them is dangerously high.
The teens continue enjoying their getaway at the Horton cabin. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) steal a kiss while Ari (Vico Escorcia) and Aaron (Louis Tomeo) are off swimming. Holly and Tate also have a conversation that clearly leaves Holly unhappy.
Later, all four teens are outside at night in what looks like a campfire setting. In one photo, Tate and Holly appear to be listening closely to something. Another image shows Ari with Aaron, who looks like he may be telling a spooky story.
But the trip takes a frightening turn when Holly ends up in serious trouble. One preview photo shows Holly unconscious in Tate’s arms as Aaron tries to help, while Ari watches in horror.
